We are all lifelong learners in our family. My husband is a math tutor. My kids are all in elementary school and enjoy technology as much as I do! Some of the kids' favorites are programming with Scratch and Alice, playing Webkinz World, Lego Mindstorm Robots, Wii Fit, and Wii Dance Dance Revolution. Yes, we do other things other than technology such as running, hiking, swimming, skating, and just hanging out!

Our neighborhood enjoys weekly neighborhood runs. We also particpated in the 2008 Mercedes Kids Marathon. I've run 9 marathons in my life but only one after I had the kids! It was the 2007 New York City Marathon. You can see more about my work with running and kids' fitness by clicking here.

Technology

I LOVE to travel. In college, I spent one summer going to school in Oxford, England. I also lived in Germany for 3 years and traveled all over Europe.I was able to see the Passion Play in Germany which was amazing! I've been to Spain, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, France, Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium, England, and Scotland. I have also traveled around a lot of the states while working for the Headquarters Air Force Reserve. I still have a lot more I would like to see! One of my favorite places is the Keukenhof in Holland but I loved all of Germany, too!

 

I really enjoy teaching both children and adults. I always learn more when I teach others. I am blessed to work in a district with an abundance of technology resources. I enjoy using these resources to motivate, inspire, connect, and collaborate with others around the world.
